Ablating, which is a phrase that we don't normally use but could, it's basically they're ablating denim. You can use a laser to actually remove the dye from denim to make it look like it's worn or used or worn. They used to use literally used fan blasting to blast the denim to get that weathered look, and you could actually do that with a laser.
Apparently, it's not a common phrase in the industry. No. Ablating is not, and some were using that as their angle to say, "Hey, we can ablate things." Well, ablating and etching and engraving are really the same thing. It's the removal of material from some surface. Yeah. In the denim field, it's actually removing the dye from the denim. It's actually not destroying the fiber at all, you're just literally bleaching it with a laser.
